Northwest Fishing

The first of the year can be spent catching winter Steelhead on the N. Fork Lewis and Cowlitz River. Early March sees the warming of spring Chinook fishing on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers, and the Multnomah Channel. May thru July Brandon is catching springers on the N. Fork Lewis, Sandy Rivers. Tillamook Bay also produces some big springers in Brandon's boat during this time. With the weather heating up Sturgeon fishing gets hot in the estuary for keepers, and trophy Sturgeon from Camas up to Bonneville Dam. This fishery remains good thru August. In mid-August he's filling punchcards once again for fall Chinook and Coho on the lower Columbia from the Astoria bridge down to Buoy 10. Brandon then moves back to Tillamook Bay September thru November. This is the region of choice for catching 40 pound plus Chinook and extraordinary sized Coho.
